Tebaldi!
This is a 2-CD album which features Renata Tebaldi in many of her most celebrated roles and it summarizes her recording career from 1949 to 1968. Included are arias from famous operas such as La Bohème, Turandot, Madama Butterfly, Manon Lescaut, and more. This is a true collector’s item for all Tebaldi fans.
The album includes a booklet of 60 pages, each page containing pictures of LP’s that Tebaldi issued with Decca since the early 1950’s until her retirement.
Back to the CD’s: The first is dedicated almost solely to verismo composers, principally Puccini, with Tebaldi’s famous roles in them, some in duets and trios, with tenors and basses like Cesare Siepi, Mario del Monaco, and others… The second CD is mainly on Verdi, with a few other composers that are non-Italian.
