Susan Graham performs at the Verbier Festival!
Together with pianist Malcolm Martineau, the Grammy Award-winning mezzo-soprano Susan Graham, gives us a fascinating compilation of well-known French composers on this DVD. Being Musical America’s 2004 Vocalist of the year, Graham is well-known as an expert in French melodies.
This genre is known as very quite challenging, yet Ms. Graham presents these songs with a fascinating jewel-like clarity and gleaming tone. Martineau is the perfect counter-part who provides his well-known expertise as this singer’s partner.
The DVD was released August, 2010, and it includes selections composed by Bizet, Henri Duparc, Cesar Franck, Ravel, Debussy, Poulenc, Honegger, and others.
