Lise de la sale
I have written about Lise de la Salle previously. However, I listened again to her playing the music of Bach, and I find her playing so majestic and so dramatic that I have to post about her performances again.
She was born in France in 1988 … so she’s 23. It is astounding how mature an artist she is at her age.
Lise de la Salle began to play piano at age 4. At 9 she gave her first concert, which was broadcast live by Radio France. She made her debut at 13 at the Louvre. Since 2003 she attends the master-class of
Bruno Rigutto at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris.
She won First Prize in both the 2004 Young Concert Artists International Auditions in New York and the 2003 European Young Concert Artists Auditions in Paris by the time she was 16 years old. In addition, she made guest appearances at the renowned piano festival La Roque d’Anthéron and at the Schleswig-Holstein Music festival.
Listen to how she plays the Prelude and Fugue in A-Minor by Johann Sebastian Bach! Such drama, and such melodious, musical feeling… Wonderful…
And here she plays Liszt and Prokofiev:
