Tchaikovsky Symphony #6 / Capriccio Italien
- Performed by the Russian National Orchestra, conducted by Mikhail Pletnev
I have the highest respect for Mikhail Pletnev, both as a pianist and as a conductor.
This is the third release in the new complete Tchaikovsky Symphony cycle.
The first release (Symphony No.4) got rave reviews:
“…passionate and powerful performances…compelling direct accounts that are full-blooded, subtle and finely detailed.”
………………………..International Record Review.
The CD was issued August 30, 2011
