Schumann Violin Sonatas

Schumann: The Violin Sonatas

Robert Schumann’s three Sonatas for violin and piano were all composed between 1851 and 1853, and have been neglected, like other works from this period in the composer’s life.

Schumann:

  • Violin Sonata No. 2 in D minor, Op. 121
  • Violin Sonata No. 3 in A minor, WoO 27

Performed by Ulf Wallin (violin) & Roland Pöntinen (piano)
