Rachel Podger
- Violinist and coach
I always enjoy watching and admiring the teaching of music. Teachers have mostly learned that one has to encourage students to explore interpretation on their own. To bring their own ideas into what might work, other than the teacher’s way. The teacher of Yitzhak Perlman, Ms. Dorothy DeLay was a terrific example of that approach
In this recording (DVD), we get to hear and see the following:
Bach, J S:
- Partita for solo violin No. 2 in D minor, BWV1004: Sarabande
- Giga from Violin Partita No. 2
- Partita for solo violin No. 2 in D minor, BWV1004: Chaconne
