Andsnes’ Journey
Pianist Leif Ove Andsnes’ latest recording – the first volume of a three-year Beethoven Journey – shows us some terrific Beethoven playing.

The clarity of detail in the first and third concertos are really impressive. Certainly this is music that Andsnes has been living with for many years – and yet it now emerges with an impressive further maturity.
On this CD, Andsnes is joined by the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, which he also directs. The players provide sensitive and responsive playing in support of the pianist.
