Francis Poulenc: Chamber Works
I have listened to the music of French composer Francis Poulenc for a number of years, and I love it! I find it to be creative, humorous, light, and fun.
This CD has another plus for me, because it features music for winds and piano. And I always enjoy the wailing sounds of the oboe, clarinet and bassoon, let alone the warm sounds of the horn.
The performing artists are:
- David Jalbert (piano), Daniele Bourget (flute), Louis-Philippe Marsolais (horn), Martin Carpentier (clarinet), Mathieu Lussier (bassoon), Normand Forget (oboe)
On this recording we have the following selections:
Francis Poulenc: Sextet, FP 100
I. Allegro vivace: Tres vite et emporte
II. Divertissement: Andantino
III. Finale: Prestissimo
Francis Poulenc: Flute Sonata, FP 164
