Glorious Glyndebourne.
The Glyndebourne Festival Opera was launched in 1934 with a production of Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro. Since then, Glyndebourne has become synonymous for excellence, bringing together the finest operatic musicians of the day in an idyllic setting with uncompromised technical and theatrical standards.
This recorded celebration includes 12 productions from the last 13 years of Glyndebourne’s accomplishments, ranging from works such as ‘The Marriage of Figaro’, to ‘The Rake’s Progress’ with new adventures into Baroque opera and Richard Wagner.
