Sergei Rachmaninov’s 24 preludes express the essence of this Russian composer: in the span of a few minutes he can expresses deep melancholy, ecstatic joy, serenity and exuberance. This new recording of these magnificent works is by young Russian picture anist Dimitri Levkovich, winner of several International Piano Competitions, notably the prestigious German Piano Award in 2013.
He displays an amazing range of colors and moods in this deeply felt interpretation.
