I wish I could establish a residence in NYC, just for the purpose of coming out there to enjoy music. Clearly I must win Lotto!
Even though I love instrumental and orchestral music, all music is basically an imitation of the human voice. So… here’s an event that ought to be delightful:
Diana Damrau sings, as accompanied by pianist Craig Rutenberg in a Carnegie Hall recital featuring sparkling songs by Franz Schubert, and Richard Strauss.
Also on the program are the following:
- Poulenc’s “Fiançailles pour Rire”
- Dvořák’s “Zigeunermelodien” (Gypsy melodies)
Date:
- Dec. 6, 2015 at 2:00 PM
Venue:
- Carnegie Hall in New York City
