Now, Prof. Kuchl will retire.
And his successor is José Maria Blumenschein, who was recently named the new concertmaster of the Vienna State Opera Orchestra / Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. It is the same orchestra that services both the Opera and the Philharmonic.
Mr. Blumenschein will take up the position of the concertmaster of the Vienna State Opera Orchestra / Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra on September 1, 2016.
