One of the world’s favorite musicians and Presidential award winner conducts the Juilliard orchestra next week, in a Romantic repertory that I love.
This is an all-Tchaikovsky program that includes the following:
- “Romeo and Juliet” Overture-Fantasy
- Variations on a Rococo Theme (with the cellist Edvard Pogossian)
- Symphony No. 6, “Pathétique.”
