I realized today that a long time has passed since I featured violist Tabea Zimmermann at My Classical Notes. We need to correct that!
I have admired this fine musician in both chamber music settings and also as a concerto performer. She is originally from Germany, and she was married to an Israeli orchestral conductor, so she speaks excellent Hebrew, as well.
I love her interpretations of music for viola and piano by Robert Schumann. She also frequently performs the Brahms viola sonatas.
