The Metropolitan Opera “Summer HD” Festival:
For the ninth year, the Metropolitan Opera puts out three thousand seats on Lincoln Center Plaza for a week and a half of grand-opera movie nights.
This year’s schedule includes screenings of its productions of “Rigoletto,” “Il Barbiere di Siviglia,” and “Roberto Devereux”.
The series begins with a showing of Ingmar Bergman’s film version of Mozart’s “The Magic Flute.”
