At My Classical Notes, we enjoy connecting with musicians on a world wide basis. Today we feature Margriet Buchberger from Germany.
Margriet Buchberger studied at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan and completed her studies at the Würzburg Academy of Music. This was followed by repertoire study with Cheryl Studer, Krisztina Laki and Edita Gruberova. She received a scholarship from Mirella Freni at the Cubec Foundation for the support of young singers, was awarded the prize of the Bruno Frey Foundation for outstanding artistic achievements, and she also won a scholarship from the Richard Wagner Foundation.
Ms. Buchberger is in great demand throughout Europe especially as a performer of the baroque and classical repertoire. She performs regularly at the International Mozart association in Florence, in Rovereto, in Salzburg and at many other places.
She also performed at the Händel-Festspiele Halle, Antonio Vivaldi Foundation “Cini” in Venice, “stagione concertistica e sinfonica della Arena di Verona”, with the “Musicians of the King’s Road” in Turku and Helsinki and “Teatro La Fenice” in Venice among many others. From 2007 – 2014 she taught at the Catholic University of Eichstätt.
