The second album set for release very soon represents Barenboim’s Chamber Music series with a wonderful ensemble:
Yulia Deyneka who works as professor at the Barenboim-Said Academy and is the principal viola of the Berlin Staatskapelle. Michael Barenboim, who is Maestro Barenboim’s son, is an acclaimed violinist and West-Eastern Divan’s concert master. And the newly signed cellist, Kian Soltani who’s debut album ‘Home’ was released earlier this year.
Both of the Mozart Piano Quartets have been recorded at Pierre Boulez Saal. One of them, the Piano Quartet No. 2 in E flat major, was recorded at Pierre Boulez Saal’s inauguration concert in March 2017.
