I have followed and admired pianist Stephen Hough for many years now.
This recording features a collection of Brahmsian miniatures: brief meditations on last things before—in Stephen Hough’s own words—‘the light fades and the final cigar is extinguished’. Brahms died in 1897.
Included on this new recording are Fantasies, Intermezzos, and a collection of Piano Pieces.
