Today I have for you the next in our series that we call simply “Introducing”. The intent is to share with you information and music by musicians who are, in my view, promising performers in the future.
Today we introduce violinist Nathan Meltzer, a 19-year-old American violinist who is quickly building an international reputation as a rising young virtuoso of outstanding potential.
A student of Itzhak Perlman and Li Lin at The Juilliard School, Nathan was awarded 1st prize at the 2017 Windsor Festival International String Competition, in England – aged just 16.
His recent debuts include solo engagements with the Royal Northern Sinfonia, Aalborg Symfoniorkester, Orchestre national d’Île-de-France, Orquesta Filarmónica de Medellín, Philharmonia Orchestra, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Pittsburgh Symphony and the Orquesta Sinfónica Concepción.
Nathan currently performs on the 1734 Ames/Totenberg Stradivari violin – on generous loan from the Rare Violins of New York InConsortium.
