I heard Ms. Goicea play yesterday, and I liked her style, her sensitivity, and her musicianship.
Ioana Cristina Goicea was born in 1992 in Bucharest, Rumania into a family of musicians. She has studied with Professors Krzysztof Wegrzyn at the University of Music in Hannover, Mariana Sirbu at the University of Music in Leipzig, and Petru Munteanu at the University of Music in Rostock.
She became a laureate of the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis 2018, and was the Winner of the German Music Competition in Bonn (2018). She was also awarded first prize and the audience prize at the International Johannes Brahms Violin Competition in Austria.
Then more recently she won first prize at the Concorso Internationale Andrea Postacchini in Italy, and was a laureate of the Fritz Kreisler Violin Competition in Vienna.
