Sarah Spitzer (born September 1, 1984 in Hamburg) is a German violinist.
Sarah Spitzer got her first violin, a flea market purchase, when she was 8 years old. At the age of eleven she became a student at the Budapest Academy of Music. She is the youngest violin student in the history of the university. There she studied with Dénes Kovács.
She received further studies with Igor Oistrakh at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels, with Christoph Poppen at the “Hanns Eisler” University of Music in Berlin, and with Yair Kless and Boris Kuschnir at the Graz University of Art in Austria.
Ms. Spitzer made her debut with the Hamburg Philharmonic. She has given concerts at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Salzburg Castle Concerts, the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Festival and the Verbier Festival.
