Seong-Jin Cho was brought to the world’s attention in 2015 when he won First Prize at the Chopin International Competition in Warsaw, the competition that previously launched the careers of world-class artists such as Martha Argerich, Maurizio Pollini, Garrick Ohlsson, and Krystian Zimerman.
In addition to his New York Philahrmonic subscription debut, led by Jaap van Zweden, Mr. Cho’s recent seasons included performances with the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra and Alain Altinoglu, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Gustavo Dudamel, The Philadelphia Orchestra with Yannick Nézet-Séguin, and the Hong Kong Philharmonic with Maestro Zweden.
