Some years ago, before COVID, I used to attend annual concerts that were offered by the Carmel Bach Festival in California.
Of course the festival included much music from the Baroque period, but other compositions were presented as well.
The concertmaster position at these concerts was occupied for several years by Ms. Elizabeth Wallfisch. She always played on a Baroque instrument, never used a chinrest, and always used a Baroque violin bow. You might ask how I remember that, and I have no answer for you…. 🙂
Carmel is a charming town on the California coast, and these annual events were always enjoyable.
