In my view, conductor Carlos Kleiber was the greatest orchestral conductor of the past 100 years. Even though you might not understand the instructions he gives to the orchestra members in German, watch his movements!!!!!
Kleiber is like a Ballet dancer as he explains the way the music should be played in the overture to “One Thousand and One Nights” by Johann Strauss.
