The Piano Concerto no. 19, KV 459 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was written in 1784. It is occasionally known as the “second coronation concerto” because Mozart played it on the occasion of the coronation of Leopold II.
The score autograph is held by the Jagiellońska Library in Kraków.
The concerto was written for Mozart to perform himself at a concert in which Mozart participated. It is scored for flute, two oboes, two bassoons, two horns, and strings.
Here is the music as played by soloist Radu Lupu.
