The Sonata #5 for violin and piano by Beethoven is a jewel that I have known since I heard it as a boy played by my father.
While many of today’s artists play this pretty well, it is also a fact that many performers do a lot of moving, stepping, and “dancing” while they play this masterpiece.
While violinist Christian Ferras is not well known, I want you to have the opportunity to listen to his interpretation. And watch the video: Mr. Ferras is like an immobile tank. He is firmly rooted in place and just gives us what the sheet music shows in print.
