The Venetian pianist Chiara Opalio was born in 1990 and began playing the piano at the age of three. At the age of sixteen, she graduated with distinction from the Conservatorio di Musica Giuseppe Tartini in Trieste. She continued her studies at the Accademia Pianistica Internazionale “Incontri col Maestro” in Imola with Enrico Pace.
After the Master Performance and the Master in Soloist she is doing the “School of Excellence” at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel with Claudio Martinez Mehner.
Since 2012 she has been teaching piano at the Fondazione Musicale Santa Cecilia in Portogruaro.
Chiara Opalio has won numerous prizes in national and international competitions. In 2016 she won the Rahn Musikpreis.
