Mikhail Pletnev is one of these artists with a dual role: In my view he is one terrific pianist, and he has a second role as an excellent conductor, as well.
This recording was issued in October, 2013; and we get to hear the following selections:
Beethoven:

The Seasons, Op. 37b: November (Troika)
Mr. Pletnev performs the Beethoven the Sonata no. 2 very much in the style of Haydn, with whom Beethoven studied in his early years in Vienna.
These performances allow us to eavesdrop on one the great pianists of our time. We get a chance to admire Pletnev’s lovely pianistic touch and his sensitive phrasing.
In addition to the Bach/Busoni Chaconne, we also get to hear the Schubert Impromptus, which were recorded at Rachmaninov’s villa in Switzerland on the composer’s own Steinway.
