- Daniil Trifonov at the New York Philharmonic!
Yes, you already know that I am nuts about Russian-trained pianists. And today, December 30th, nothing seems better than celebrating with one of them. The amazing Russian pianist Daniil Trifonov is the guest artist for the New York Philharmonic conducting début of Spanish maestro Juanjo Mena, currently the chief conductor of the BBC Philharmonic, in Manchester. Trifonov’s choice of Rachmaninov‘s First Piano Concerto will surely bring excitement to this concert. Also on the concert program are:
- Rimsky-Korsakov‘s “Capriccio Espagnol” and
- Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6, “Pathétique.”
