Michel Legrand, worldwide known not only as a pianist and singer but firstly for his musicals, soundtracks and songs, presents his first recording entirely devoted to classical music.
It is a testimony to hear a composer play his own work, as on this recording Michel Legrand performs his own Piano Concerto, with one of the leading French Orchestras and its new musical director – Mikko Franck. Also featuring on this album is one of the most talented cellist of his generation, Henri Demarquette, playing a new Concerto, written for him and recorded in presence of the composer.
