Violinist David Oistrakh fortunately recorded some music that is here with us to serve future generations. Earlier today I heard a portion of his performance of the Sibelius Violin Concerto. And now, a few hours later, I am listening to his performance of sonatas for violin and piano with Paul Badura-Skoda.
Here is this delightful Mozart, which will be familiar to many amateur violinist who, like me, can hear in this music not only sheer beauty, but also small errors WE had made in interpretation, dynamics or rhythm.
