While I have never become an enthusiastic admirer of Franz Liszt’s music, I do admire Daniel Barenboim both as a pianist and as a conductor. Barenboim is a superb musician. Highly knowledgeable, focused, an intelligent interpreter, and also a fine human being. From a person like that, the results of a musical performance are likely to be an fine experience.
