Alice Sara Ott was born in Munich in 1988 and received her first piano lessons when she was four. Since then, the German-Japanese pianist and student of Karl-Heinz Kämmerling at the Salzburg Mozarteum has won numerous important competitions and appeared in concert halls and at festivals in Europe, Japan and the USA.
Beethoven:
• Piano Sonata number 3, in C-Major
• Piano Sonata number 21, in C-Major
• Andante Favori in F-Major
I find Ms. Ott’s playing to be fresh, clean, technically strong, with excellent and sensitive phrasing. One of these days I need to hear her live, when she comes to the San Francisco Bay area.
Here is a video of Alice Sara Ott playing Liszt Etude “La Campanella”
And here is a wonderful video of Alice Sara Ott playing and talking about Chopin’s music; What wonderful sensitivity this artist brings to her music. And it is a real gift for us to enjoy!
